Senior Day: Marquette rides wave of emotion to win over Notre Dame

MILWAUKEE - The emotion of the seniors' last home game at the BMO Harris Bradley Center. A home win streak the Golden Eagles were looking to push to 25 games. The fight for the top spot in the Big East standings.

There was simply too much to play for Saturday, and Marquette turned all that momentum into a 72-64 win over Notre Dame to close out their home schedule.

Jamil Wilson's 19 points for Marquette tied a career high. Senior Chris Otule's 16 points were a season high.

With the win, Marquette became the first team in the Big East to secure a "double bye" - byes in the first two rounds of the Big East Tournament.
