Packers grab Alabama's Lacy, trade other picks

by WDJT Sports

The Green Bay Packers used their second round pick (61st overall) to draft Alabama RB Eddie Lacy.

The Packers, initially with the 55th overall pick, traded with the San Francisco 49ers to get the 61st pick as well as the 157th overall pick (fifth round).

Projected by some experts to go in the first round, Lacy averaged 6.5 yards a carry and gained over 1300 yards along with winning an national championship with Alabama in 2012.

Lacy was the only pick Green Bay made in day two of the NFL Draft. The Packers traded their third round pick (93rd) to the Miami Dolphins. In exchange, Green Bay got an additional fourth, fifth and seventh round pick--gining them a total of seven for day three.
