MILWAUKEE - The Brewers' bats stayed hot Tuesday, putting up 12 runs the night after pouring on 10 against the battered Pirates pitching staff, securing a 12-8 win and giving the Brew Crew a chance for a sweep Wednesday.

Rickie Weeks drove in five runs, including a three run homer in the 8th inning. Jean Segura and Yuniesky Betancourt also hit homers for the Brewers, who have won 12 of their last 15. Milwaukee is now 46-7 against the Pirates at Miller Park since 2007.

Tom Gorzelanny (1-0) picked up the win with an inning of scoreless relief.

The final game of the series starts at 12:10 Wednesday at Miller Park.
