NCAA Tournament tips off with 4 games on CBS 58

by WDJT Sports

The first day of the 2013 NCAA Tournament promises to be a wild one. CBS 58 will carry four games on Thursday's tournament-opening day.

Here's the schedule:

At 11:15AM, third-seed Michigan State tries to avoid the upset bug against 14th-seeded Valparaiso, the Horizon League champion.

After that game ends, Memphis and St. Mary's will battle. Memphis is the only Conference USA representative in the tournament.

At 6:15PM, fourth-seed Michigan faces 13th-seed South Dakota State. Michigan was ranked 6th in the country in the AP poll as recently as last week's Big Ten Tournament.

Rounding out the day at 8:45PM, 5th-seed VCU looks to avoid the dreaded 5-12 upset against Akron. VCU reached the Final Four two years ago.

Marquette's game against Davidson at 2:10PM Thursday can be seen on Tru TV.
