GREEN BAY - Clay Matthews resisted the urge to keep playing through a hamstring problem in Cincinnati, a tough decision for a competitor forced to sit out the second half of the game.

The patience that day has paid off this week, as Matthews practiced in full Thursday and is ready to go for Sunday's game against the Lions.

Matthews says that, in his early NFL years, he would have tried to play through the hamtring issue, possibly sidelining him for multiple weeks.

Matthews missed significant time in the 2012 season with hamstring issues.
