FULLERTON, CA - Marquette's Golden Eagles were the runners-up in the Wooden Legacy, losing the championship game 67-59 to San Diego State Sunday night in Fullerton.

Deonte Burton scored 8 consecutive points in the second half to help MU briefly wrestle the lead away from the Aztecs, but SDSU re-grabbed the lead just 22 seconds later on a three-pointer by Xavier Thames, who finished with a game-high 29 points. Thames was named the tournament's MVP.
