Marquette holds off Depaul

MILWAUKEE -- Junior Cadougan scored 17 points for Marquette, who
held off DePaul 89-78 on Saturday.

Marquette moved ahead of Syracuse for first place in the Big East Conference, but Syracuse hosts St. Johns Sunday.

Former coach Al McGuire was honored before the game. McGuire led Marquette to the 1977 NCAA championship.
