LOUISVILLE, KY. - Marquette's quest Sunday to take a one game lead on the rest of the Big East didn't go well.

Vander Blue's 17 points and Trent Lockett's 16 weren't nearly enough to overcome a Louisville team that shot 52 percent from the floor and routed the Golden Eagles 70-51.

Marquette had entered the Top 25 poll Monday at #25.

Russ Smith scored 18 points while Peyton Siva added 14.

At 6-2, Marquette is in a first place tie with Syracuse atop the Big East stadnings. The Golden Eagles are at USF Wednesday at 6:00.
