KRod saves 300th in Brewers win
by WDJT Sports
Milwaukee--Francisco Rodriguez saved his sixth straight, and 300th total game Saturday, as the Brewers beat the Braves 2-0.
K-Rod was out of baseball at the beginning of the season, but signed a minor league deal with the Brewers early in the season, and it's paying off for Milwaukee now.
"People forgot that I was just 31-years-old. In my career, just last year was a really bad year. I know what I am capable of doing," said Rodriguez.
Donovan Hand allowed no earned runs in 4 2/3 innings for Milwaukee. It was his first career start.
The Brewers also got some good news about another starter. Marco Estrada is expected to make a rehab start with the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers on Sunday.
