MILWAUKEE, WI - Sophomore, Juan Anderson, has been granted his release from Marquette University. The forward said that he wants to be closer to his home in California. He will finish out the semester before leaving.

"I really enjoyed my time here and learned a lot that will be beneficial to my life after basketball," Anderson said in a press release. "My family is very important to me and moving closer to them is something I need to do at this time."

Anderson played in all 35 games this season while starting 31 for the Golden Eagles. He averaged 2.7 points per game this year.

He is the third player this offseason to transfer from Marquette after they made the Elite Eight for the first time since 2003.
