Gomez sets franchise mark in season-ending loss

MILWAUKEE - Carlos Gomez provided the Brewers with one more bright spot Sunday in New York.

Stealing second base in the second inning, Gomez became the first player in Brewers franchise history with 20 home runs and 40 stolen bases in a season.

The Brewers lost the game 3-2 after giving up a pair of runs in the eighth inning.

Jean Segura was eclipsed for the NL lead in stolen bases when Eric Young stole his 45th base in the first inning.
