Davante Gardner's 18 point effort helped Marquette pull out a 64-53 win over a pesky Southeastern Louisiana team Tuesday night at Bradley Center.

The Golden Eagles (2-0) found themselves trailing a few times in the second half, but Gardner helped put MU ahead to stay by scoring 6 straight at one point early in the second half.

Chris Otule added 10 points, 8 of them in the first half.

Marquette heads to Maui for a Thanksgiving tournament next week.
