Crossing state lines: Jennings signs with VikingsMINNEAPOLIS - Greg Jennings has become the latest Packers player to cross state lines and play for the Packers' bitter NFC North rivals in Minnesota. Jennings signed a five year contract reportedly worth $48 million, $18 million of which is guaranteed. Jennings spent his entire NFL career in Green Bay, catching 53 touchdowns in seven seasons. But Jennings was not healthy for his last two years with the Packers, missing half of the 2012 season, and turning down an extension reportedly worth $10 million per season to test the free agent market. Jennings joins Brett Favre, Darren Sharper and Ryan Longwell as former Packers who have gone on to wear Vikings purple in the last ten seasons. |
