Canada beats Brewers 7-4 in Exibition
MARYVALE, AZ - Team Canada defeated the Milwaukee Brewers by a final of 7-4 in an exibition game Tuesday. The game was a tune up for Team Canada before they play Italy on Friday for their first game for World Baseball Classic.
Chris Narveson started for the Brewers and gave up only one run over 2 and 2/3 innings. Carlos Gomez added two RBIs. John Henderson and John Axford both pitched scoreless innings for Team Canada with Axford picking up the save. The Brewers took the lead during the bottom of the seventh inning when Khristopher Davis hit his first home run of spring. But Mike Gonzalez gave up four runs in the eighth inning to give Team Canada the lead and ultimately the win. |
