Brewers salvage a win in St. Louis series

by WDJT Sports

ST. LOUIS - There was no early no-hitter, and fortunately for Brewers fans, there was also no late Cardinals rally Thursday night.

Tyler Thornburg threw six strong innings, and Sean Halton homered and drove in three runs to lead the Brewers past the Cardinals 5-3 in the finale of a three-game series at Busch Stadium.

The Brewers won against St. Louis for just the fourth time this season.
