SURPRISE, Ariz. -- Brewers starter Mark Rogers struggled, lasting only 1 1/3 innings and allowing six runs -- three earned -- on three hits and four walks with one strikeout in a Brewers 12-3 loss to the Rangers. Only 18 of Rogers' 42 pitches were strikes.

Rogers was 3-1 in seven starts for Milwaukee last year, but could miss out on a roster spot.

Few of the Brewers regulars were in the starting lineup. The crew is at Arizona Wednesday night.
