Brewers lose marathon game in Pittsburgh

by WDJT Sports

PITTSBURGH - Someone had to lose Sunday afternoon's marathon game in Pittsburgh. Unfortunately, in an all-too familiar scenario, it was the Brewers coming up on the short end.

Milwaukee lost 2-1 in 14 innings on a Russell Martin game-winning single that scored Gaby Sanchez. Francisco Rodriguez took the loss.

The game took six and a half hours, including a rain delay of nearly two and a half hours. Kyle Lohse, the Brewers starter, was listed after the rain delay in the bottom of the second inning.

Logan Schafer's safety squeeze scored the Brewers lone run in the second inning.
