MILWAUKEE - The story of Monday's Brewers-Reds game will never be told by the linescore or the online play-by-play, which will merely say that Joey Votto flied out to center field for the final out.

That fly out to center field turned out to be one of the plays of the Brewers season, as Carlos Gomez leapt against the center field wall, reached over the fence and robbed Votto of what would have been a go-ahead home run.

Francisco Rodriguez gets the save for Milwaukee. Jonathan Lucroy had a two-run homer in the first inning.

But the night will be remembered for Gomez' athletic, game-ending play, one that left fans and players alike stunned.
