Big Ten to realign in 2014, add conference game in 2016
by WDJT Sports

Two big changes are coming to the Big Ten Conference once Rutgers and Maryland join forces with the conference in 2014.

New division alignments will go into place that fall. The Big Ten will split up into East and West divisions. The West division includes Wisconsin, Illinois, Northwestern, Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska and Purdue. The new East division contains Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Rutgers, Maryland, Penn State and Indiana.

The Big Ten will add a ninth conference football game starting in 2016 to accomodate the expanded number of teams.
