Another no-hit bid thwarted as Brewers lose in St. Louis

ST. LOUIS - Talk about a case of deja vu.

Marco Estrada threw 5 2/3 no-hit innings, but some Cardinals runs late in the game gave St. Louis a 5-1 victory Wednesday night. On Tuesday night, Wily Peralta threw 5 2/3 innings of no-hit baseball before the Cardinals rallied late for the win.

Carlos Gomez scored the lone Brewers run after a wild throw to second base skipped into center field. Gomez, who was trying to steal third on the play, came home to give the Brewers a 1-0 lead. The Cardinals scored four times in the eighth to seal the win.

The series in St. Louis wraps up Thursday evening at 7:15 PM.
