Lila Carrera became a part of the CBS 58 team in September 2013 as a reporter. Before coming to Dairyland, she spent three years in Pueblo/Colorado Springs as a Multi-Media Journalist, meaning she shot, wrote and edited her own stories. She normally has a notepad in one hand and camera in the other. When she wasn't reporting, she was contributing to the Telemundo newscast in Colorado Springs.
Lila's passion for storytelling began in a high school broadcast journalism class. From there she went to attend and graduate from Sam Houston State University. Before leaving SHSU she helped establish an all Spanish newscast and later became news director of KSHU. She also spent a summer in Panama City, Panama (where her mother is from) working for TVN Noticitas.
Lila is excited to call Milwaukee home. If you have any story ideas for her, you can email her at firstname.lastname@example.org
