Laura Rodriguez joined the Telemundo Wisconsin & CBS58 News teams in September 2011. She is co-anchor and co-producer for Noticiero Telemundo and a reporter for CBS58. Previously she was weather anchor at Telemundo Chicago.
While in Chicago Laura covered snowstorms and helped re-launch a crime investigation segment called “Crímenes Sin Resolver”.
Some of the most notable stories she has covered include an exclusive interview with the family of a fetal abduction victim, the Oak Creek Sikh Temple shooting, and an interview with former Colombian president Álvaro Uribe. She has also sat one-on-one with Florida Governor Rick Scott and the Vice President of the Dominican Republic. .
Laura is a proud graduate of Northwestern University where she started the first all-Spanish newscast and where she was also part of the award-winning Northwestern News Network team.
She was born and raised in Miami, FL and loves to salsa dance and cook Cuban food. She has also recently learned Portuguese and tries to practice any chance she gets. In Milwaukee you will probably find Laura at a Zumba class or trying out different restaurants.
