Zoo Interchange Project wraps this morning following reopening of final ramps

After nearly four years, construction is scheduled to wrap this morning on the core of the Zoo Interchange.  Over the past several months crews have reopened several exit/entrance ramps leading into the interchange along with the final system ramp.

The following ramps will be reopening by 5 a.m. weather permitting:

  • I-41/US-45 NB off ramp to Bluemound Rd.
  • Greenfield Ave. on ramp to I-894/41 NB through the Zoo.
  • I-41/894 SB off ramp to Greenfield Ave.
  • I-41/894 SB off ramp to Lincoln Ave.

This past weekend saw access restored from I-94 east and I-94 west to Greenfield Ave. via the system ramps.  Drivers should take note though; the I-894 Project still has a few months of construction left.  Construction on that project is expected to wrap by the fall of this year.
