Woman Hit by Car after Running onto I-43 Sunday Morning

According to the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office a woman ran onto the freeway at 8:56 AM Sunday morning. The woman ran onto I-43 south near Capitol and continued over the median wall into oncoming northbound traffic.
The woman was struck in one lane but got up and tried to keep running to the other side when motorists stopped and kept her still until Sheriff's Deputies arrived.
The woman was transported to the hospital.
