Wisconsin Rated Among Worst States for Driving

MADISON, Wis. (CHANNEL 3000)-

Wisconsin is near the bottom of a ranking showing the best and worst states for driving.

The ranking, from carinsurance.com, shows Wisconsin ranked 47, beating only Louisiana, Oklahoma and California.

The study looked at the cost of insurance, the percentage of uninsured drivers, traffic fatalities, the percentage of roads and bridges in need of repair, gas prices, repair costs and extra time spent commuting.

The study showed a quarter of Wisconsin drivers are uninsured and 71 percent of roads are in poor or mediocre condition.

Utah and Minnesota topped the list.
