Wisconsin Creamery Will Begin Selling Irish Butter Again

Irish butter is back in Wisconsin!

Old World Creamery of Sheboygan announced in a news release today that they will begin selling Grade A Irish butter, Irishgold, on Tuesday, April 11th at all Woodman's Markets in Wisconsin.

A kick-off event will be held at the Woodman's Market in Sun Prairie on April 11th at 9 a.m. The first 100 people to come to the Irishgold butter display will receive a coupon for a free 8oz package of Irishgold butter.

"This will be a big day for Wisconsin residents who love the rich taste of Irish butter,” said Steve Knaus, managing partner of Old World Creamery said.

Wisconsin has a decades-old state law that requires butter sold in the state to be graded to Wisconsin butter standards. To comply with the state law, Old World Creamery is importing its Irish butter, Irishgold, directly from Ireland and then packaging, processing, and grading to Wisconsin standards at its facility in Sheboygan.
