Winterfest

Winterfest is a celebration of winter at Boerner Botanical Gardens, and the kickoff to the Friends of Boerner Botanical Gardens 30th anniversary year and the Garden’s 75th!

Bring friends and family, and join FBBG from 10:00am to 2:00pm on Sunday, January 26th at the Boerner Botanical Gardens Education and Visitor Center. You will be able to participate in children’s crafts and activities, listen to storyteller Kristia Wildflower, sample and purchase kettle corn from Sweet Delight Kettle Corn and take a walk through the Gardens on a Winter Woods Walk. Food and concessions will also be available for purchase from Zilli Hospitality Group.

Admission for the children’s activities is $4 for FBBG members or $6 for non-FBBG members. There is no charge for adults. A $5 donation is suggested for all Winter Woods Walks participants.

The Winter Woods Walks, led by Mike Kreuser of the Green Team, will begin at 11:00am and 1:00pm. On the walk you will learn how and why plants, animals and humans respond to light and the changing seasons. You’ll also get to explore the garden’s stunning winter silhouettes and chase the winter blues away!
