Winter "Warmth" Soon to Be Replaced with January Chill

Milwaukee -

An early January thaw will give way to some chilly air as soon as Tuesday evening.  An Arctic boundary will push through Tuesday morning with much colder air obviously behind it.  Highs today and tomorrow will approach 40.  Keep in mind a normal high this time of year is 29.

The high on Tuesday will be early in the morning.  By day's end, temperatures will be subfreezing.

Of course this is only part of the story.  With the wind, look for subzero wind chill numbers starting Wednesday morning.  Kids at the bus stop will encounter these type of conditions practically all week long.

As far as snow goes, I don't see anything too organized to affect us in the next week.  Our snow pack from earlier events is just about gone now.  Make sure to download the free CBS58 weather app when you're on the go this week.  It's a great way to keep track of changing temperatures and possible precipitation.
