Windy and cooler today, showers and a mix late this week

A cold front has tracked out of the area ushering in cooler conditions and gusty winds in the wake of it. Highs made it to 60 yesterday, but won’t make it out of the 40s for most locations. This weather pattern won’t stick around long with October sunshine and return flow from high pressure late this week.

It stays dry until we get to Friday. There’s an opportunity for rain showers with a passing area of low pressure. This will bring a quick 0.10” of rainfall. Another wave associated with a trough could dig into Wisconsin with a slight chance of a wintry mix or a few snowflakes flying on Saturday. Accumulation is not expected. Highs will be falling on Saturday and Sunday into the 40s, possibly near 50.
