Whitman Elementary School teacher arrested for alleged sexual assault

Milwaukee Police are investigating an alleged sexual assault that happened at Whitman Elementary School in Milwaukee. A MPS teacher is alleged to have sexually assaulted a student.

The employee has been arrested by police and is on unpaid leave from the school district. The allegations are under investigation but a case will be presented to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office soon.

MPS told CBS 58 it is very rare for allegations of sexual assault to surface in their school district.
