Whitefish Bay happy to see Counsell as Brewers new skipper

 Craig Counsell grew up in Whitefish Bay and has the support of his hometown.

CBS 58 went to Craig Counsell Field in the village and spoke to people there about the park's namesake being the new Brewers skipper.

Overall, they were extremely happy for him and added that this is dream job.

Counsell was described as humble, generous, and a good role model who is typically just a regular guy around Whitefish Bay.

The village is confident in what the hometown kid can do for the crew.

Counsell went to Whitefish bay High School, Notre Dame for college, and spent 16 years in Major League Baseball.
