Whipping Winds & High Waves by The Lakeshore

Not the friendliest of weather days by Lake Michigan today.  A Gale Warning is in place throughout the afternoon as wind gusts could reach 40 mph along with waves topping 9 feet.

The water temperature is around 38 degrees.  And with the help of the easterly winds and the milder Lake, more rain is expected than snow at least lakeside. Both the wind and waves should quiet down later tonight.

It never gets old watching the waves go over the breakwater.  Just make sure you're dressed properly if you're heading out to visit.
