West Bend Police mourn loss of beloved crossing guard of 35 years

WEST BEND, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The West Bend Police Department announced the passing of a beloved crossing guard for 35 years.

Madelyn "Madee" Roell, 67, of West Bend passed away on Saturday.

Madelyn was a crossing guard in the City of West for 35 years. Her most recent assignment was at N. Indiana Avenue and E. Washington Street where she crossed students that attended Fair Park Elementary.

A visitation will be held from 4 until 6 p.m. on Friday at the Myrhum Patten Miller and Kietzer Funeral Home.
