A gymnastics coach has been charged in connection to a possible sexual assault investigation in Brown Deer. 

36-year-old Dwight Van Dale of West Allis is charged with one felony count of exposing a child to harmful materials. 

The Brown Deer Police Department says they started their investigation after receiving a complaint from staff at Infinite Gymnastics in the 8900 block of N. 55th Street of possible inappropriate behavior happening between a coach and an underage student. 

Investigators say the coach exposed a child to pornographic material in violation of state statute.

The Brown Deer Police Department has launched a possible sexual assault investigation.

According to police, they received a complaint from staff at Infinite Gymnastics, located at 8989 N. 55th Street, of possible inappropriate behavior occurring between a gymnastic coach and underage student(s).

An investigation into the allegation was initiated, and it was determined that no sexual assault had occurred.

It was determined, however, that the coach did expose a child to pornographic material in violation of state statute.

The coach, a 36-year-old West Allis man, was arrested and will be referred for charges.

The Brown Deer Police Department continues to investigate the allegations but at this time, there is no evidence of any sexual assaults.
