A 15-year-old is recovering after he was stabbed in an alley in Cudahy Monday night.
Several neighbors living nearby heard the commotion around 9:30 p.m. near 4300 S Kingan Avenue and ran outside. They saw two teenagers fighting and one was covered in blood.
"We saw them dragging each other by the neck and we heard 'I got stabbed, I got stabbed' as soon as I heard that I had my fiance grab the phone and that's when I called 911," said Sara Mackay.
Sara Mackay's fiance and another roommate came out to help break up the fight. One of the teens ran off. Mackay says the other was stabbed in the neck. She then ran inside and grabbed a towel. Within minutes, she said the police were there.
Police say the victim and the suspect are both just 15-years-old.
The teenager who was stabbed was taken to the hospital. He is expected to survive. The other was taken into custody for questioning.
According to the criminal complaint, there is no threat to the public.
