We have it all today...warm, windy, and stormy

Milwaukee (CBS 58)--If you want to hang onto summer as long as you can, go outside today.  Temperatures will soar toward 80 degrees.  Southerly winds will gust from 30 to 40 mph, helping to bring the warmth and humidity.

But, a strong cold front will interact with the warm, humid air mass this evening triggering showers and storms.  Some could be strong to severe.  The best window of opportunity for storms looks to be between 8 pm and midnight. Large hail, heavy rain, and gusty winds are all possible.

Behind the front, we cool off for a bit.  Look for highs in the 50s on Thursday.  Then they jump back in the 60s and 70s for Friday and the holiday weekend.  We also have several more bouts of precipitation for Friday, the weekend, and much of next week.  It does look like a more significant cool down by the following weekend.
