NOW: Waukesha County Community Foundation lets donors meet charities at annual Giving Forward Breakfast

The Waukesha County Community Foundation will hold its annual Giving Forward Breakfast October 11th at the Country Springs Hotel in Pewaukee.

Those who are interested are encouraged to RSVP by October 5th.

The Waukesha County Community Foundation has served as a clearing house for years and raises money for deserving charities that don't have the staff to raise money themselves.

The foundation also reassures donors that their money is being well spent.

"It's a perfect opportunity for like minded people to come together," explains foundation President Shelli Marquardt. "People who are philanthropic and want to give back to the community and find out about the charities that need help."

This year's recipients are:

NAMI Waukesha (National Alliance of Mental Illness)
Waukesha County Provides (Basic Needs Services)
Saving Others for Archie (Opiate Addiction) and
Blessings In a Backpack (Food for Hungry Students)

"All communities stronger when we band together and use our resources well," adds Kris Androsky, President of Hebron House which is part of Waukesha County Provides. "Having the support of the Waukesha County Community Foundation has allowed the message of the need to get out further and allow our work to go even farther. We're able to serve hundreds of people a day thousands all year because of the foundation."

CBS 58's Michele McCormack will once again be hosting the event which includes entertainment from local students, a tasty breakfast and a chance to meet with people who want to help and who run the organizations that need the help.
