Watching Wednesday's Weather Carefully

Don't get used to today's nice weather.  We could see rather volatile weather on Wednesday.  In fact there's a moderate risk of severe weather, mainly Wednesday afternoon and evening as a low pressure area starts to move across the area. We also have the chance for morning storms as well.  Most, if not all of these, should remain below severe limits. Keep in mind if we clear out during the day, the sunshine we get will add extra instability in the atmosphere.

With any of the storms, we face the possibility of dangerous lightning, heavy rain, large hail, and even tornadoes. Although as it stands now the biggest threat for tornadic activity is south across Illinois.

More storms are in the forecast later in the weekend as well.
