UPAF Ride for the Arts

MILWAUKEE -- It's an annual tradition in Milwaukee and at CBS 58. It's the UPAF Ride for the arts. The fundraiser helps raise money for 15 performance arts organizations in the area, helping to keep the lights on through the year.

Passion is why some 7,000 riders flocked to Summerfest grounds Sunday morning. But the event isn't about music or biking, it's all to raise money for the city's organizations who need the money to operate. Organizers say their member groups educate 400,000 people every year.

Mother Anne Metcal says she was at the event to support the ballet for her kids, \"It really helps them with their creativity and discipline.\"

The ride was anywhere from 5 miles to 66 miles depending on how far people want to ride. CBS 58's news members were on the location early this morning. CBS 58 is a proud sponsor of the event.
