Two Injured After Grain Truck and Pick Up Collide

At 1:23 PM on November 16 the Racine County Communications Center received a call from a witness to a crash on State Highway 11 and Highway J in the Town of Burlington. The crash was reported to involve a grain truck and trailer and a pick up truck.

Deputies responded to find the operators of both vehicles to be injured and one party trapped. Fire and rescue units arrived and found the driver of the pick up truck to have serious injuries. The driver was extricated from the vehicle and transported to Kansasville Fire where he was transported by Flight for Life helicopter to Froedtert hospital.

The operator of the grain truck was transported to Froedtert hospital by ambulance.

Initial investigation showed that the pick up truck was southbound on Highway J when it failed to stop at the stop sign at State Highway 11 driving into the path of the grain truck and trailer which was eastbound on Highway 11.

The crash site and intersection is estimated to be closed until approximately 5:00 PM.
