Two die in Sheboygan County car accident Sunday night

Two passengers died in a car accident when the vehicle they were traveling in failed to obey a stop sign Sunday night in Sheboygan County.

According to the Sheboygan County Sheriff's Office, a car with three total occupants was traveling westbound on County Highway SS in the Town of Sherman. When the vehicle approached a stop sign at County Highway I, it did not stop and was struck by a southbound truck traveling on County Highway I.

The two passengers in the car died on the scene. The driver of the car was taken via helicopter to Froedtert Hospital with severe injuries. The driver of the truck sustained minor injuries.

Several agencies assisted the Sheboygan County Sheriff's Office in this accident. The accident is still under investigation and further details are expected Monday morning.
