Two arrested after ammunition theft from Germantown Fleet Farm

GERMANTOWN, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Two suspects are in custody after Germantown police say they stole ammunition from Fleet Farm Thursday night. 

Police say around 8:30 p.m. officers responded to the store for a report of two men concealing ammunition while inside the store. The suspects then got away in a black SUV eastbound on County Line Road. 

Officers found the vehicle and after a high-risk traffic stop on County Line Road at I-41, both suspects were taken into custody. The suspects were arrested for retail theft, felon in possession of a firearm, carrying a concealed weapon, and receiving stolen property. 

Germantown Police say officers also found a stolen gun in the vehicle. One of the suspects had a warrant through the Wisconsin Department of Corrections and the other was on active parole. 

Both were booked and taken to the Washington County Jail.
