Tropical Storm Cindy Bringing Flooding and Tornadoes to Deep South

Tropical Storm Cindy, over the Gulf of Mexico, continues to track toward the Gulf States at this hour. The winds are expected to stay under hurricane strength, but the current wind speeds are at 60 mph. It is expected to make landfall sometime late tonight or Thursday morning as it drifts northwest toward Louisiana or eastern Texas.

Tornado Watches are in place for portions of the Deep South. Deep tropical moisture will lead to major flooding with some areas getting dumped on by more than a foot of rain!

Cindy will drive northeast once it makes landfall and will weaken quickly.
