Tracking more rain and storms overnight

Impressive rainfall totals were recorded across the area this morning from scattered showers and storms.  Thankfully no flooding was reported; however, more rain and storms are expected overnight.

The greatest severe weather risk will occur well to our northwest!  You can see both tornado and severe thunderstorm watches in Iowa and Minnesota.  As a cold front moves into southeastern Wisconsin we are just expecting a thin line of storms that could contain some brief gusty winds.

The rain and storms might produce up to a quarter of an inch between 3 am and 6 am, but not like the totals we experienced this morning.  The biggest change will be temperatures.  Temperatures around midnight could be close to 80 degrees.

Temperatures in the morning will start near 70 and drop into the 60s on breezy northwest winds!
