RACINE COUNTY ---CBS 58's Tiffany Tarpley reports that about 1,000 sandbags are ready to go at the Village of Waterford Public Works Department for residents who are concerned about the rising waters.

We came across Jason Best who picked up several sandbags Wednesday night after the Waterford Fire Department warned him that flooding this week could be worse than what was experienced in 2008.

Back then water got into his basement.

This time he hopes to prevent that from happening, but already the water from the Fox River has flowed into his backyard.

"I'm planning on monitoring it tomorrow," Best said. "When I get up I'll assess what's going to happen and decide whether I'll start sandbagging."
