WAUWATOSA -- One of the wounded survivors of the Sikh Temple shooting is making progress.

Punjab Singh's condition has been upgraded from critical to serious.

CBS 58 has learned Singh is now able to breathe on his own and he has been moved out of the intensive care unit.

The news came on the one month anniversary of the shooting rampage in Oak Creek.

On Wednesday, Marquette University held a candlelight vigil to remember the six people who died Sunday, August 5.

Everyone who attended the vigil was asked to wear some kind of head covering out of respect to the Sikh community.
