Man in critical condition after being beaten outside a Racine bar

RACINE -- Officers responded to a call from the Vintage Rock Cafe on Durand Ave. in Racine after a man had been knocked unconscious in the parking lot. Upon arrival, officers found the victim to be conscious but incoherent and bleeding from the ear.

The man was transported to Wheaton Franciscan All Saints when it was discovered that he was suffering from a traumatic brain injury and in critical condition. The victim was then flow to Froedtert Hospital via Flight For Life.

Officers learned that there was an altercation in the parking lot and that the victim was assaulted and may have hit his head on the pavement as a result.
