Man bringing molotov cocktails to capitol faces tentative felony charges

MADISON -- Kvon Smith of Milwaukee was arrested in the rotunda of the Capitol building after law enforcement caught wind of a video he posted on Facebook. On the Facebook video Smith showed off his homemade Molotov cocktails intended for use at the capitol building.

Smith admitted to law enforcement that he had a Molotov cocktail in his backpack.Officer took that backpack outside to Wisconsin Ave., and had both the Madison Fire Department and Dane County Bomb Squad investigate the backpack. Personnel with offices facing Wisconsin Ave. were evacuated.

Smith is facing four felony counts of possession of Molotov cocktails, one felony count of creating a bomb scare, one felony count of Second Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety, and disorderly conduct.
