Innocent Bystander Struck by Gunfire

MILWAUKEE-Milwaukee police say an innocent bystander was rushed to the hospital after being hit by a stray bullet Wednesday night.

It happened near 45th and Congress on the north side around 7:45 p.m.

Police say there was some type of fighting going on inside a silver mini-van when shots rang out.

The victim was sitting in a tow truck when he was struck.

All indications are the victim was not involved in the altercation.

The latest report had the victim in stable condition.

Police have not indicated if they are close to making an arrest.
