WASHINGTON COUNTY -- 33-year-old Bodie Witzlib is accused of storing homemade bombs at the Germantown home he shared with his grandmother.  He was in shackles as he made his first court appearance Thursday.

Witzlib is charged with four counts of possession of improvised explosives, which carries a maximum of 24 years behind bars if convicted on all four counts.

During his first court appearance, Witzlib told the judge he ran a fireworks business and was in the process of obtaining a federal license to make and sell the items.

Authorities removed hundreds of explosive devices, mostly homemade M-80's, from the house on County Line Road in Germantown.

Witzlib's bail is set for $25,000, and is expected back in court on May 29th.
